Work has already started by T Cribb & Sons on the construction of two ambitious projects on the Beckton site - The National Funeral Museum and the T Cribb & Sons Education Centre.

When it is completed in 2003, the Museum will not only house the UK's definitive collection of funeral and memorial artefacts, but will also provide a library and reference facilities.

Equally as bold is the company's vision for the Education Centre - which by 2004 will be attracting students from across the UK and Europe.

To achieve this, the company can now offer full lecture facilities and a function suite to deliver a range of courses and training programmes.

Among the courses will be:

• run courses to further skills and promote high standards.
• teach bereavement counselling
• extend courses for palliative care groups.
• promote links with local schools, colleges and University of East London to raise awareness and alleviate the taboos about death
