T Cribb & Sons are currently based at three premises
close to the City of London offering the best combination of
traditional values and modern services. Below charts the history
of the company.
We are founder members of the national Society
of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors - the only professional
organisation in the UK exclusively dedicated to serving the
local independent funeral directors and their communities. Committed
to upholding the standards and service expected by the families
served.
1996 - Opening
of T Cribb & Sons third and largest premises by Lord Young,
the purpose-built head office at Beckton. Set in its own land,
this flagship building is almost certainly one of Europe's best-equipped
funeral centres with all facilities on site and ample parking
and access for those with disabilities.
1977 - Second
office opened in Barking Road, Canning Town.
1973 - The
re-introduction of horse drawn carriages to re-create authentic
Victorian horse drawn hearse funerals. The prize-winning horses
are renowned throughout the country and recognised as one of
the premier horse teams at shows including Royal Windsor.
1963 - Rathbone
Street office presented to the company by West Ham Council in
recognition of services rendered to the Borough.
1932 - Original
office moved from Hallsville Road to Rathbone Street.
1881 - Thomas
Cribb established the company in Hallsville Road, Canning Town.
